Take a propane torch and heat the aluminum till its warm. Lay the backside of the wheel on the floor. Then use a RUBBER mallet to pound it back straight. It will work perfect. Ive done it plenty of times with NO cracking.

After you do that you may want to heat that part of it back up and then chuck it into some water really quick. Then heat it up a bit not as much and let it cool normally.

If you don't temper it properly you run the risk of cracking it anyways.

If you hit it straight on with a hammer it will crack for sure. Heat helps but it's porb. best to have ahweel shop do it. The can also make sure it is set true.

Whenever my wheels you to get dented I would just lay a 2x4 against the dent and smack it with a hammer and it would fix it. You don't want to hit the wheel with a hammer that will mess it up. Just use a little piece of wood and a hammer.

I say send it to a rim shop they may charge but sure beats having to buy another rim if that one cracks in the process of fixing it

any good wheel shop should be able to fix it no problem , and it beats having to worry about balance issues, i once saw a wheel that had like a 6 inch strip of stick on weights to balance it after it had been in a crash.

I wouldn't try doing this yourself with a hammer or heat. Chances are it wont hold air even after you bend it back. Have a shop handle this one.
