I have another question about my 90 Talon Tsi AWD. Somehow in the process of putting in/taking out the transmission (I'm assuming), I managed to dent the side of the wastegate actuator. It could possibly already have been dented. The arm wasnt connected to the lever for the flapper when I got the car, and the actuator was bent slightly down, so it could have happened when whatever caused that occured. It is extremely hard to move the arm now, and I was just wondering if the side of it being dented would cause the wastegate not to function properly. I re-disconnected the arm from the wastegate when I noticed the dent, and now I can barely move the arm to get it back in place. I don't want to hook it up if the wastegate isn't going to function properly, because I don't want to mess up the turbo, I'd rather just deal with not having boost for the time being until I can find a new actuator. If it is not a problem, and won't effect the performance of the wastegate, then I will hook it back up and leave it how it is until I buy a 16g. I currently have the stock TD05H 14b that came on the car, and plan on upgrading the turbo sometime in the near future. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You can check the wastegate actuator by putting some air pressure to it. It should open at about 10-12psi, so it won't take much to check it. Just make sure it's moving freely and you should be okay. Good luck!:)

Alright, I will try that as soon as I can.

Hooked it up to an air compressor. Actuates correctly at 12 psi. Thanks.
