2G Is there a separate fan for the ac?

Is there a radiator fan as well as an ac fan or they the same thing? Not sure if the previous owner removed it.

Yes there is. The ac fan is a smaller metal surround fan infront of the turbo if a 4g63. Assume the 420a might be the same type minus the turbo but still metal framed

Thanks. Is it in the same spot as a 2g and is the fan next to it the radiator fan?

Yeah placement is the same 1g/2g. The fan next to it is the main radiator fan for both generations.

You should definitely have two fans that are visible. Both fans have relays in the fuse box. If you missing one, there should be a connector dangling nearby. I know this isn't your question, but here is something that explains when these fans turn on.
