Is my ECU repairable?

I pulled my ECU yesterday for fun and found it is a factory '90 EPROM, but I found this burnt area. It looks like something exploded at the top left corner of the square (second picture). Is it repairable?

The car was running good minus inconsistent idling speed (not surging, just inconsistent).

The black spot was C19, the capacitor across the +5v reference voltage for the A2D converter.
As you can see the rest of the board in that general area also has corrosion damage.
It's not a US/Canada spec ECU, you you might also want the EPROM socketed so you have run the right software after you get it fixed.

Ya it's a '90 Japanese ECU with EPROM. I think that's pretty rare, which is why I'd like to save it.

I also have an ECU from a '90 TSi FWD 5spd non-EPROM, do you think it would work in my car while I have my ECU out being fixed?

Yes the '90 FWD turbo ECU will work in your car.
