Is my DSM built??

I recently have gotten a 91 eagle talon tsi fwd.
The person I got it from told me it had 650cc injectors, it had brian crower cams, 272 exhaust and 264 intake, it had eagle rods, and wisco pistons(stock bore), 16g turbo, Manual steering rack, walbro 255 fuel pump, H beam, springs and retainers, etc..
The car needs a tune.
But that's all it needed according to him.
But I realized, it has no manual steering rack, the power steering rack is just looped back into it self, it has 450cc stock injectors, and the tranny's synchro is going out.
I knew the synchro was going, but he tried telling me it was the short throw shifter put in, but all the others I didn't know.
How do I find out If my car really is cammed, or has hardened internals??

take pictures of your ecu, engine bay, injectors. you're saying you have all these parts in your car and it won't even run now. did it run when you bought it?

why buy something "built" when you have no idea what you're doing? jw it's like buying an airplane when you don't know how to fly. not trying to bash, i just don't get it. i'm in LaPorte so if you wanted to bring it over, i'd take a look for you.

First dsm i ever bought i was 16 i had 1000 bucks and i was burnin to spend it on a dsm. i found a local guy with a 2g eagle talon for 1000 bucks claimed it had been rebuilt and just needed a harmonic balancer and a battery and it would be good to go. i bought it had it towed home bought the H/B slapped it on. checked the oil....milky white. so either he had put the gasket on wrong or it had been blown and thats why it was settign there. changed out the headgasket and all other gaskets and changed all fluids did a tune up ect. started up just fine. went to take it for a spin.....no clutch. -____- so unless you have reciepts dont trust what they say. my new rule for buying from craigslist or any private seller is. if you cant drive it home.....dont buy it. just my 2c

This car wouldnt happen to be red would it? if it is it may be my old fwd and if its the guy im thinking i feel you on all the problems. and hes in the SB area also.
