is my alternator going bad?

i idle at 750 at operating temperature, which is the correct idle speed going by what the sticker under my hood says. anyway, when i push my rear defroster button my idle drops and almost stalls the car, the idle fixes itself however before it stalls, but it drops under 500. my idle also drops when i put my headlights on. should these electrical draws cause this?

I woudl go to autozone, have them check it. but from what it sounds, yes either you have a bad cell, bad battery, or alternator is going.
