thaats the part number
i have no spark what so ever can hear a clicking from the ecu when trying to start car ecu has a burn spot and what looks to be acid burns and a blown copasotor
i have no cel
so i guess my question is
if the ecu was dead would i not have spark on all four
and no cel not even when i put the key to run/acc from off

Sounds like it is toast.

If the ECU is dead, you will usually not get a CEL. Also, you will get clicking from the MPI relay (controlled by the ECU).

Contact member "steve" for repair. He will get it all patched up at a great price.

OR you can clean up the board and replace the cap and see if it works. I would just send it to steve and call it a day.

btw its a 93 eclipse and has had a 92 motor swaped in to it
i just got the car and new to dsm motors
traded a 97 nissan 200sx with a blown tranny and bad ecu for this

ps could u tell me where the mpi relay is or i could go look have been doing as much reading on this car as possible

If the ECU isn't working your unlikely to have any spark and it won't start.

If you don't get a CEL for about 5 seconds and then go off when you turn the ignition on then the ECU isn't working. That could be because of the caps leaking like you have noticed or because the MPI or ignition fuses are blown. The MPI powers the ECU and the ignition provides the signal the ECU uses to turn on the MPI relay.

There is nothing in the ECU that can click so it's more likely you hear the MPI relay clicking. It's also in the center console so it can sound like it's coming from the ECU.

i have checked both fuses and they are fine but i replaced them any way
so i guess i need to get a new ecu or have this one rebuilt can any one direct me to the cheapest to do this and still have good quality part/work done

If you want cheap you can take your chances in the classifieds.
If you want quality, several people have already made recommendations based on experience.

Most places only offer flat rate repair prices. I'm only aware of myself and ECMTuning offering time and materials based repairs.

ok so i solder the two pins that i had noticed where separated from the left board that stands up back on and my car starts again will be sending this ecu to be fixed i guess and am ordering one. from where idk yet
