I have an evo fmic, I have never removed the bumper on my car before and i didnt find any exact instructions on how to install or where to mount it. If someone could give me a diagram on where to mount the intercooler that would be very helpful. I have read that it does require some cutting but not sure where to start.

I have searched but i have not found any exact instructions on how to do it. I have read just about every thread that concerns the evo ic. I would just like some pictures of where the mounting point is. I have never taken off the bumper before so this would be a new thing for me to do.

Depends on how you would like to mount it. Would you like to install it like this or like mine?

Taking off the front bumper is extremely easy. There's only a handful of 10mm (IIRC) bolts that need to come off before the bumper can be pulled away. Nothing to fret about.

I would say pull your bumper off and start eyeing everything and figure how you want to mount it. There isnt really a right or wrong way just whatever you come up and whatever works...

yeah i was going to mount it like that one. As far as the piping is going i haven't quite figured out how am going to do it. I was considering using the dejontool kit but its 300 bucks. Seems a bit high for just piping.

Which is why you go on to eBay and purchase a CX Racing (or similar) piping kit for cheap and do it yourself. Learning how to weld also kicks ass. If you choose to mount it like in the link I gave you, I would suggest also buying an extra (or two) U pipes, just to be sure everything flows nicely.

I mounted mine using bolts and the 2 lower side brackets on the FMIC and bolted them to the front radiator support, i lined it up so it's at the lowest point i could use the brackets on the side, fits perfectly and looks nice

Looks like I'm reviving my old thread. So I have all the items I believe I need to install my fmic 3 years later! Clearly I wasn't in a hurry but I do think I have found a way to use the original piping from the Evo to do the install thanks to your help dsmunknown.
