I have a 91' GSX
  • K&N Intake
  • 3 Inch Turbo Back
  • 550cc Injectors
  • MAF Translator
  • 16g Turbo
  • Turbo XS Boost Controller
  • Greddy Turbo Timer
    Pillar Gauges (boost/pyrometer)
Just wondering If I should go with a FMIC now, I know it will slow my spool time but should I go with it now. I think the benefits of the front mount would be good for my car. What do you guys think?
Thanks A lot:dsm:

Actualy your spool will be faster seeing how yo say you have a GM MAF setup and no fmic meaning you either have hard pipes and just didn't list it or your running the gm maf where the stock one was. IF the second is true than by going with aluminum fmic pipes and fmic of course you will be able to put the GM MAF after the BOV vent and remove any restrictions before the turbo. Not to mention the benfits of being ablt to erun more boost without knocking and heatsoaking will greatly benefit you also. Your a dsm guy sooner or later you will want to upgrade and a good fmic is one of the key ingrediants to most good setups:thumb:

I just put in a FMIC and i havent lost any boost at all. I got short route piping though. A FMIC shouldnt hurt your performance. Especially if you want to keep adding horsepower and higher boost. Your gonna want to be able to cool that air and keep the knock down as well.
