So I searched and only found one thread in the Drivetrain forum....to which no one replied. LOL

Anywhoo, ACT bought me a new clutch housing and I just received it from JNZ Tuning today. After talking with John (ShepTrans), I'm rather nervous about trying to FINISH what I've already started.

I've separated the case halves as far as they'll go, but I'm having trouble finding out HOW to remove the gear selector (and counterweight). That has to be removed before the case halves will come completely apart.

I'm only considering attempting this myself because Shepherd has a 3 week lead-time. Add 2 days shipping on both ends, and I'm darn close to another MONTH before I get my car rollin.

I just installed all the brand new clutch components that ACT sent me as replacements, and now I've got my back against a wall, so to speak, trying to figure out if I should EVEN continue to work on swapping this clutch housing myself.

Anyone successfully done this themselves? If so, how the heck did you remove the gear selector, and how did you re-set preload on all the gearshafts?

I'm sorry for ranting, but I'm just a bit frazzled. I shouldn't have been so stoked to get my car goin...I never thought swapping a clutch housing would be THIS involved.

Any help would be AWESOME!
