gotta put a new exhaust housing on the 16g... does it have to stay perfectly aligned to the stock position? or is it just the inner cartridge that stays balanced???

any trick to go about doing it?

Not sure on a 16G, but on a 14B you have to line up a small hole on the compressor housing with an alignment pin on the turbine housing. Check for an alignment pin...

All you've got to do is take off the band... and remove the exhuast side from the intake side...comes right apart..put the new exhuast side on and put the band clamp back on...a turbo only needs balanced wheen the cartrige is taken apart :)

Good luck
Jesse

well a 16g is the same, they are both the TD05.... so awesome

youll see it right away when you take the old housing off. Its just a tiny little pin sticking out and the housing will only fit onto the center cartrage flush if its lines up with the pin. When they line up it should go right on. All you do from there like mentioned above is put the clamp back on, bolt up the O2 housing and be done. Its really a simple thing to do and once you take your old one off youll see exacly what we are talking about.
