ok just installed act2100 kit with the tob that came with it (not metal inner sleeve, but seems bigger than the stock that was in there).

now my car makes a chattering noise in the tranny area that sounds like a bad tob but instead of making it when the clutch is "in", it only makes the sound when the clutch is "out".

Would this be because of the TOB from ACT??? or a bad Input shaft bearing???
This noise appear right after the installed of the ACT 2100, so meaning it has to do with the TOB that came with the ACT 2100 right??..........

would it be alright for me to race my car still? damn........its been almost 400miles...

p.s.
I've noticed through searches that a lot of people have also had this problem but i can't seem to find the answer.....

I definitely wouldn't race it until I got that noise figured out. If it's a chattering noise, then it sounds like something from the clutch area. If it's a constant noise, it may be from wheel bearings maybe? (Of course, this is assuming you removed the cv axles and messed with the front rotors, etc.)

yeah its a constant noise but can't be from axles or front rotors, because this noise happens constantly until i press IN the clutch then it stops and once i let go of the clutch it makes it again ........................

i know some peeps in there been through this before because i found lots of other thread with the same problem but a clear answer.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND I TOOK IT ALL APART AND MY FLYWHEEL BOTLS WERE LOOSE. I TIGHTNED THE SHIT OUT OF THEM AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND STILL HAD THE PROBLEM. I BOUGHT A NEW FLY WHEEL A FIDENZA AND AN ACT 2600 CLUTCH AND I STILL HAVE THE NOISE PLEASE E-MAIL ME at [email protected] if you can figure out what the problem is
