injectors question

im going to start doing supporting mods for an eventual turbo upgrade. my question is, if i put in 660 injectors without putting in a new fuel pump or doing any sort of tuning, will my car run right?

No, you need something to compensate for the injectors like an safc, or you will run way too rich.

If you are going with a bigger turbo soon, i would also get a larger fuel pump (255), a fuel pressure regulator, and rewire the pump.

im trying to stay away from an electronic a/f controller because my friend has one and its a royal pain in the ass. i could just use a boost dependant fuel pressure regulator, right?

Unfortunately, if you want to install larger injectors, at least an ECU piggyback device is necessary. As well, a larger fuel pump is going to be necessary, and possibly the fuel pump rewire. The fuel rails in DSMs are supposed to have quite a lot of headroom.

You could start by going to a larger fuel pump and an adjustable FPR. I run a 190lph fuel pump with no additional fuel mods on an FP Big28@16-17psi (Depending on weather) without issue. If you go with a larger fuel pump than 190lph, such as 255lph, then an adjustable FPR would probably be a good idea.
