I'm planning on upgrading to a Big 16G turbo here soon.

I plan on installing a Walboro 255 fp, afpr, and injectors as well.

I have a S-afc.

Can i get 650 injectors and install them with these other parts as well and be ok to go?
Or is it going to take some tuning with my safc? If so does anyone have any tips on how to tune it for the larger injectors? (i know very little about tuning with the safc)

thanks guys

If you just install those items you will probably get a car that drives and boosts fine.

If you want to squeeze out the maximum out of it, and if you want to get your air/fuel mixture fine, then you need to do more.

What you will need is a datalogger so you can see what's happening in the car. With this you can adjust your AVCR and AFPR so you get a very good air/fuel mixture in all situations. You might also need this to pass the emission tests. But this does require some knowledge of air/fuel mixture and such.

Also my advise to go with a good AFPR like the one from Aeromotive. They can be adjusted up but also down and they rise 1:1 with boost pressure. I had a crappy cheap fpr myself (pushed up fuel pressure by 20-22psi) and it was not adjustable, not up not down, and it gave my car a way too rich mixture, causing bogging, bad mpg, smoke, black stuff on my rear bumper, and I greatly failed my emissions.

I just want to have a good dependable (haha ROFL) car that i can drive, that will also have some nice horsepower when I need it. Definitely something to put me in the back of my seat. I don't have much knowledge on tuning when it comes to air-fuel ratios and what not. =/

To tune larger injectors with the S-AFC you will need to log the ECU.
digital tuning, inc.
You won't be able to get the most out of larger injectors without being able to log the ECU and use the results to tune the S-AFC.

I recommend getting a logger and learning to use it before doing any fuel mods so you can see and understand the way the stock fuel management works. Increase the boost on a stock system and learn to read the results. See what happens when you push the envelope. Then when you change your injectors you have a baseline reference and knowledge of how your engine works normally to start from.

I use an safc and a wideband with 650cc injectors and it works out nicely, if you have a little more money you should get a wideband, I think its a lot easier and more accurate to tune with then when I used my logger.

I actually am buying a Uego wideband here very soon. I could definitely use some help getting it tuned after i get the parts installed.
What all does it involve to tune it?

:thumb: Wide band is better than just a pocket logger. Cost is higher but it will tell you what the A/F ratio is. Still need a way to log knock. Not all engines run safely at the the same A/F ratio. DSMlink with a wide band is one of the best solutions but the cost is even higher. A Keydiver chip is a good intermediate solution, cost and features taken into consideration.
Do you use your wide band for logging and for narrow band emulation? Or, is it installed separately?

they are installed separately, I've been just tuning with the wideband until I can get the cable for evoscan.

BOC Jason to tune you pretty much have to be patient and careful since it takes a while. After you get everything installed your going to have to guess what to set the afc to at first, and then work from there to fine tune it, starting with the low throttle table. Ill look later on today at what my low throttle is set at so that way you can have a rough idea of where to put your initial settings and then go from there (since each car is different my settings wont work for you but they can be used as a rough reference).

i use 680s and my low setting is -33%(i vary it slightly depending on the fuel i use and the season). you may want to try setting yours to -30 or -31; it should get you to almost exactly the same flow that you would have with stock 450s
