Toronto,
I'm debating in getting new injectors, should I get 550 or 650, I'm running a B16g with a MKIV intercooller???
If I get 650, would I need a AFPR???/

I pretty much can max out my 560's on race gas with my 14B. I'd say go with 650's. As for the AFPR, if you run a 255 or even a 190 pump you should have an AFPR. We tried a 190 on my brother's car to avoid needing an AFPR but he was still seeing 42+ psi with the vac line on. Besides, an AFPR is a basic tuning tool you should not be without.

An AFC is not needed for just changing to a high flow pump. The only side effect might be a slightly rich idle, but if you notice the tuning guide specifically says stage1 should have a high flow pump and no AFC until stage 2.

As for injectors, get the 650's, no matter what you will need a AFC if you change those since the computer thinks the injectors are only 450's and would make your mixture incredibly rich... But the 650's are better since you can tune them to where you want, and will have more room for future growth...

EDIT: By AFPR are you thinking a fuel pressure regulator? Or the Fuel Controller?

I would go for the 650's. About the same price and much more room to play with. I am using them on my 20G, and still have plenty of room.

As for the AFPR question. No you don't need to control you injectors fuel pressure. It is the fuel pump you need to control.

1. The 190lph is good on the stock FPR with a good rewire.

2. The 255lph (LP or HP) is good WITHOUT the rewire, just needs an AFPR. Yes, even the low pressure unit should get on, doesn't neeeeeed one, but could def. benifit from it.

Another thing you should be asking yourself is WHAT type of power or track times (if that is your thing) are you looking for. You might as well go with the bigger 650's if you think you might get biten by the boost bug. ;)
