I have a 99 RS, and the ignition key ring light doesn't work and I replaced the bulb, and it still doesn't work. I also tested for power, and it gets power; it also has continuity to ground. The bulb was tested, and it's also good.
Any help would be appreciated. Also wasn't sure if I was supposed to post here, as this is my first post.

Does your door chime work when the key is in the ignition with the door open? the door switches have to work for that light to work.

OK, so the light works!! I did some more searching and found out that the light is on a timer and goes out after so long. I didn't know this :ohdamn:. But, does anyone know if there is a way to have it on when to gauge cluster, hvac, and etc. lights are turned on? I think it's kind of dumb how it turns off.

No, unfortunately the time interval of that light is determined on the ecu. It would be great if it at least stayed on long enough to be useful, but ours only stays on about 5 seconds, once the door is closed.
