Idle Speed Control Question

I've got an idle surge problem with my car and checked my isc according to vfaq.com. i measured the resistance on all the pins and everything seemed fine. i plugged it in to the connector and did the next test by turning the key from acc to on and back again slowly but didnt get much travel out of it. my question is when you does anyone know how much travel youre supposed to have when you turn your key from acc to on and back again? also wanted to know is it supposed to vibrate while doing so? i also did the 6v battery check but only got the motor to vibrate when i tapped the negative wire a little. sorry for the long thread. im gonna get this idle surge thing down thats for sure

I found out what I think is the solution to my problem. I hooked up dsmlink and ran the dtc check on it even though i didnt have a check engine light at the time. Anyway,the p1400 trouble code came up,which said manifold pressure differential circuit malfunction. I ran a check on the sensor according to the haynes manual and its dead. I got no voltage at idle or under acceleration. Hopefully a new sensor will solve my problems. Just thought i'd share...later
