Hi, its been awhile since ive posted here, which could also mean a good thing haha.
Anyway ive nailed a huge pothole that had ruined my rim, broke my slave cylinder seal and snapped my bolt to my alternator tensioner bolt off into my block.

The problem now is it has what i would consider a smooth idle surge.. meaning it only does it when its up to temp or close, and doesnt just jerk from one RPM to another it goes from about 800 to 1500 as a wave and sometimes lower to 600-700 and higher to almost 2k.

The electrical problem is what i think is not normal, when i press the brakes(main), turn my lights on, or turn my fan on inside the engine drops severely about 200 rpm for each one.

to fix that i turned the idle screw about even so it idled at 1k at op temp instead of 750. is this a bad ground? i dont know if this should be normal. when i hit my brakes my headlights flicker down then back to normal for a split second when i drive but at a stop sign it makes the car just want to die, where is all this power getting sucked too.. my manual VW jetta doesnt do any of this, i can have my brights on, fan on high turn signals on dash lights on and my brakes on and the RPMs dont even flinch,

Going to try and get a boost leak done this weekend, any suggestions appreciated thanks, list of mods should be in my profile.

Your voltage regulator could be bad, which is replaceable by a new alternator or switching to an external regulator.
Your alternator could be bad too, if you have a volt gauge check and see if your getting at least 13 1/2 consistently at idle.
You could also have a bad terminal/ bad battery cables, I know my car has an issue with loosing power completely from a finicky terminal, but if I move it around it will get power again.

I had similiar idle issues after working on my car one time. I found it to be that I accidentally knocked of the cheap female plug on the throttle plate closed switch on the back of the throttle body. :ohdamn:

Alternator is brand new, cables are less than a year old, battery is 6 months old. Could this
Be a ground issue by chance? Where is this regulator?

new doesn't mean its a good one, get it tested, and try to get the volts looked at as well. I have a new terminal that needs to be replaced less than three months of use.

When I lift my foot off the gas in any gear attempting to decel, at about 2k Rpms it starts to act weird. Pulsate gas bursts and won't go any further under Rpms on it's own. The brake like power sucker has been doing this since I've owned the car, it's just annoying now that I turboed it and rather not have it run like shit. Any help at all to get rid of this electrical sucker problem? I'll figure out this air leak this weekend when I actually have time on my hands.
