Idle problems after 6 bolt swap

I blew my 7 bolt motor last year. My buddy recently got done swapping a 6 bolt motor into my car. It won't idle or rev past 2.5k and sounds stuttery when given a lot of throttle. When the MAF is unplugged the car will idle. Heres a list of the things we've already checked:

Boost leaks
MAF(tested with a known good one from my brother's car)
CAS(tested with a known good one from my brother's car)

The stock ECU I'm using at the moment itself could possibly be bad, as I'm waiting for mine to come back from ECMlink, but I swapped another ECU a friend had lying around in and it was worse. Unfortunately my friend said that ECU had idling problems itself.

Aside from waiting for the ECU to arrive and seeing what happens do you all have suggestions on what to look at meanwhile ?

Is you base timing right.. might as well make sure that and all other things like that are dialed in Befor assuming somethings bad

Swap plug wires? Check your cas to crank signal? Do you have a plug and play Harness from your CAS to crank sensor?

Does the ecu in the car right now have some version of link? On my 6 bolt swap my car wouldn't run right without link. Also check the power transistor. Replace with a known good one. When those go bad they cause the car to have missing spark in 2 cylinders

Sorry for the delay in replying, guys. We tried everything you mentioned, tried swapping all sorts of things with known good parts, checked, double checked, quadruple checked wiring...had a few local dsm guys look at it. Eventually Illeagle took a look and realized the motor had a 7 bolt intake manifold on a 6 bolt block and head. (ಠ_&#3232
