Yesterday after a few passes at the races, I noticed my car was idling at 2500 RPM. After a while it started surging from around 2500-3000 rpm.

All my vacumm lines are connected, All the IC pipes are tight and clamped down well, MAF is plugged in and working fine etc.

On the logger, my IAC is at 0%. Is this the problem? Would a bad IAC cause a high idle or idle surge? Anything else to check for?

I believe that the 90 ISC is different. Not only in the way it looks but the plug on it is wrong also.

The ISC's in galants work also. I believe it's the 91 and newer ones.
The 3000 Gt's also work. I'm not sure what year though. I believe any of the newer ones.
I want to say that I pulled one from a Stealth also. I'm not going to swear to it though. It's been a while and I would hate for you to get the wrong one.

To save money, run to any local junkyard and check out any of the 91 and newer ISC's
Take your bad ISC with you to compare them. If they look the same and have the same plug, then they work. Don't get confused if you see a very slight difference. One has a smooth case and one has a thin rib next to each screw hole(2 of them). If that's the only difference then it will work. I have both here.
I've pulled many of them from all the above vehicles. They all work.

All the ones I've pulled(that work) have E9T15292 on the brown plastic cover. I can not verify that this number isn't on the 90 and older ones though. They will have another 4-5 digit number. None of these have ever matched. Its probably build date or something. Don't worry about these(from what I've seen).

If you have a multi meter, take it with you. You'll find a lot that are bad at the yards.

Don't you dare buy one from the dealer....wow I want to say they're over $100. $236 rings a bell but I can't swear to it(been a long time). I could be way off there. Either way, to expensive.

If you can't find one, drop me a PM. I can probably find you one that works(I'll verify it myself). I just don't want you to pay the dealer price when you can probably get one for $30 or less. I would say less though...LOL :thumb:

Sorry for all the info(long)...LOL If you need pics. I can get them for you.

I hope it helps
