ok, heres the deal, im a college kid modding on an extremely small budget. so im trying to conserve money if possible without endangering my fresh motor.
i have a buddy who will give me a fmic from a conquest tsi, in very good shape, very few bent fins, been in his garage for a long time, he cleaned it up and polished it but im gonna paint it black anyways. i looked at it and the location where the ic pipes meet the end tanks is on the top of the ic. where can i find piping for this? or will i have to have it made. id like to be able to use my current uicp, could i get a 90 degree bend on the couplers? if anyone has or had this set up please give me your opinion on it. im running 15 psi currenty, and dont plan to step it up intil i have a few more mods. :thumb: :talon:

You will need to do a custom pipe job. It shouldnt be too hard and most of the time you can couple the sections together or do minute welds to get the job done. You can buy pipe in portions in any diameter. I would stay with 2.5 inch pipes all the way through. check out
www.vrsexhaust.com and look at the 'bends' section. They have aluminized and stainless finishes. they have other links to piping sites on their homepage as well.
If I helped you in anyway please give me some respect points. Thanks a lot man good luck!! :thumb:

does anyone make a piping kit for an evo 3 or 5 front mount? :talon:
damn i thought i might save some money  looks like im selling those books back to the bookstore now haha

naww man, anything you don't buy in a kit,you wont be able to get premade piping for.I have a starion FMIC with end tanks welded in.I'm installing it next year.I'm gonna do a write up as well.Your just gonna have to get creative with the piping and couplers.you can use your UICP just fine, you'll just have a long route vs. short, short is better, but no big deal.If you wanna do it for less, your gonna have to do it your self.if not,any decent performance shop will route the piping for you,but i don't know how much they'll charge you since it may turn into a trial and error thing.

First off, it seems like a lot of trouble for the starion ic. Its not that efficient and you'll only see minimal gains from it. The supra SMIC can be had for less than $100 and an ebay one for < /> $300. Both are much better than the starion. But, if your set on the starion....

no one makes a piping kit for the starion ic. I would suggest buying mild steel bends from an auto shop to find out what you need exactly, then go online and buy your ss.
