Not at all sure how this is happening but the element in my GM IAT sensors is getting destroyed causing the sensor to read negative 40 degrees. I verified wiring and narrowed it down to the sensor which I have replaced once already. This is the 2ne sensor that has died this way. sensor came in the SD kit the extremepsi sells. Not sure why these sensors are getting killed off like this. My IAT is located on the UICP right before the throttle body at about the 10 o'clock position, basically pointing at the 2g cruise cable assembly. It is located on the bend so not sure if that's a contributing factor but these sensors last about a week then they die. Is there a better, sturdier one out there? Thanks!

I've had great success with my GM AIT sensors. I even screwed up and mounted one right in the bottom of my TB elbow and she's doing just fine (knock on wood).
