Ok, this summer, I put tokico illumina shocks and eibach pro kit springs in my car. The eibach springs dropped it a lot more than I thought it would and there is littly no wheel gap wiht my 18's I put on it. Now that winter is coming, I want to take my wheels off and put my stocks back on. But my stock wheels are 14's and they ARE smaller then my new wheels. The car is going to be a snowplow with them on. I also have a camber kit in my car. What should I do because I don't wanna destroy my car this winter. I was thinking about putting my original springs in but I dont think I can with the camber kit? Any suggestions?

I would just pick up a set of taller tires for the stocks. Tires for 14s shouldnt be too expensive. I would prefer to spend a few bucks on tires then go through all the work of swapping suspensions out seasonally.

He's right, get taller tires. I've seen decent 14" futura tires at PepBoys for $38 a peice. Remeber tires are just part of the equation, the way you drive in the snow is the other part. I run "Starfire" spectrums with a little more than 5/16's of tread in the winter for the past 2 winters and they have'nt failed on me yet.

right now i have 195/70/14...you think it would be fine to run bigger like a 75 or 80?

It may not seem like it but your 18's probably have a similar overall diameter to your 14's. You didn't say what size your 18's were but the difference in radius between a 225/40/18 and a 195/70/14 is about 1/8". Changing tire size is not a very effective way to gain ground clearance.

whatever, i sucked it up and just put the old wheels an tires on... It is SLAMMED but i'll deal...hopefully the roads will be plowed this winter
