Since this thread is still going. This trend in general is just as ridiculous as when being green was trendy. You had people not eating meat because they thought they were being green. Same thing applies here. There are so many categories and sub-categories that it all just mixes into one big pot of stupid. This thread is a good example, people posting up pics going wait a minute i think my car is hallaflush.

I dont see a reason to call a car with proper size rim and tire anything but a good looking car. People have been doing that forever. If so then car manufactures started the hellaflush trend 60 years ago. I dont care who lives in the area they think it started in or goes to meets. This trend still seems like a bunch of posers trying to categorize their car with a fresh trend to fit in. I cant see an entire trend being started over a proper size wheel and tire set up, that has been around forever. It had to have been started with stretched tires and extreme camber and everyone else jumped on board because its the "in" thing and they like the name. Nearly every higher end car has had flush wheels for a while now. For example if i buy a new bmw or mercedes, are those all hellaflush?

Tsimage why are you so stuck on defending it and calling your rx8 hellaflush. Its just a low car with the right size wheel and tire. If that was my car i would avoid categorizing my car as hellaflush to avoid lumping it in with the camber guys. I wouldnt want my nice looking car to have anything to do with those idiots.

From the outside looking in(like most of us are doing here) i wouldnt call proper wheels and functionally lowered "hellaflush" and you cant claim that started in nor-cal either. Thats been done to death to every car in existence.

Alright in before lock :)

Yes I can claim it started in Northern California and I was there from the beginning of it all. I have no problem being lumped in with the true HellaFlush guys because they are in my opinion some of the most attractive cars on the road. Most of us race and drive our cars and they aren't trailer queens or garage queens. We take great care of our cars and expense is never an issue, we have the best of every thing available and many of us such as myself have pioneered parts for our specific vehicles. The suspension, a lot of the CF parts and many other items on my car were created specifically for me and now its available for everyone. List goes on and on.

I can't worry about others peoples ignorance. The same applies for being called a "DSMer" Out side of these forums being called a "DSMer is usually a negative connotation. Our reputation for the type of people we are and cars we drive aren't very flattering but am I gunna let that affect me? Just because some ignorant asshole has an opinion on something he knows nothing about, I can't live like that LOL.

I allow my RX8 and my other flush cars I have built to be called HellaFlush because it is. I run 17x10" wheels with sticky NT01 DOT track slicks, stitch welded frame, AP roll bar, AutoExe full under-body carriage bracing, progress-tech front and rear racing sways and AP racing end links. Tubular K member, imported and rebarreled HK$ HiperMax (yes its spelled that way) coilovers, JIC 6pt front strut bars, 4pt rear bars, 3pt floor bars and 2 pt trunk bars. MM turbo kit, BHR ignition/cooling system, HKS Titanium single exit and a sh*t load of one off REAL carbon fiber pieces made for the car... And I'm purposely not listing crap because the list is too long..

I laughed, hard, when people dared talk to me about how HellaFlush cars don't perform. ALL of us have HEAVILY modded cars and from a performance standpoint would out shine 90% of the cars on this board. Just because we like our cars to look good and attract attention people assume that we neglect performance. What DSMers need to realize is you can have BOTH. :aha:

I get where you're comin from and yes a few bad apples can spoil the barrel but that goes with anyone else. We are actually excepted on sites like Supra forums, Evos, STis, sites where owners tend to have more money, or nicer cars to begin with, the mentality of DSMes in general is normally "budget" so they tend to hate what they can't do or have convinced themselves they don't like for whatever reason. I really can't put my finger on it and can't think of a reason to try. I don't think the crowd will ever change as it seems it is getting worse but to each their own.

Sorry for the life story LOL..:p

What is this inherent need you have to bi*** about other peoples opinions?

Just because some ignorant asshole has an opinion on something he knows nothing about, I can't live like that LOL
Seriously grow the f*uck up man... or kill yourself:idontknow:

Most of "Those people" like that you just walk away knowing your right an say f*ck it what's the point... . but you can't? I don't get it what exactly are you trying to prove? that Your one of them?

PS nobody cares about you "hella" long list of parts or how you'll beat 90% of everyone either...

Think Lando said it best... .
Continue on, but see if you can leave your incomes, backgrounds, hopes, dreams, and aspirations at the door and NOT work them in to every post; it oozes insecurity.

I can seriously see this is getting locked now

Please Mods obviously people can't drop it an just get over trying label cars "Hella"

Too me, stance is the breaking factor of a car. If the car sits right, then it will look amazing. But you can't have super nice wheels, etc and be a 4x4.

Heres my dsm

Why did you even post? That was the most asinine and redundant incoherent post as of yet. You're ability (or i should say inability) to comprehend is completely at question here.

The point I was making is that I can't go on caring what other people have to say. He said I should try and not be associated with HellaFlush so I don't get grouped in with being mislabeled and basically I was saying that regardless of how ignorant other people are, I wont let them dictate what I do or say. Period. If I roll with HellaFlush then I will continue to do so, case some guy from who knows where in a small town somewhere doens't understand the difference between HellaFlush and say V-Dub then that's on him. No skin off my back.

And if you don't care to read the whole post then do yourself a favor and don't respond to it. You can avoid situations such as this in the future. :ohdamn:

7 pages of hate, ignorance, retardedness, false facts, and a shit ton of entertainment.

I can appreciate everycar, its just all about how its built. I don't hate any car based on make model.

all of those were retarded

I have to agree, I didn't like any of those, not even the E30's except for the Lime Green M3 but only because it was a M3 w\ Evo3 front bumper, and MTEC Racing Rear Spoiler. I hated the color and rims. they ruined that car for sure.

here it is. 18x10.5 ccw lm20 with a 255/35/18 yeahhhh
i prefer 17's tho. the offsets are +13 front +22 rear with 3.5" lips all the way around

That car is right down the street from me. It is awesome and the owner has had 2 sets of awesome aggressive wheels.

VDubbers go WAAAAY too far.. The kinda stuff they do makes even us shake our heads.. The rusted hoods and building "skid pans" for their under carriages.. I guess different strokes for different folks, more power to them.

No need for me to send you a PM, you drive a bucket and you have no idea what you were talking about when I responded to your post earlier. Feel free to PM me if you figure it out though. :thumb:

I felt like bringing up some arguing points about how the hellaflush movement and stance in general is just as valid of a concept as making your car faster, but I digress. It suffices to say that haters gonna hate, and those haters are really limiting themselves when it comes to car culture at large.

IRT:
This video is about stance is awesome: AWOL | Air & Water on Land | Capturing the essence of auto enthusiasts worldwide

Speedhunters.com has some of the best hellaflush & stance-loving photography I have ever seen:
