So the car started developing a weird hesitation under cruise and sometimes at idle where the engine would apparently just cut off for a a couple milliseconds. It's like fuel cut, but I don't see how it could be and would only happen under closed loop operation. If I fiddled with the maf plug, it would rectify itself for a short time, and then go back to being fussy.

So, a couple days ago, I took the maf out, apart, and sprayed the resistors down with some ether (starter fluid) to clean them.

Drove the car today and the car was running smooth as glass.

So I decided, what the hell. I've been waiting for a good reason to switch over, so I relocated the IAT to right before the TB, and removed the maf. Threw ECMlink into SD mode, and she sure idles a lot better now. The car revs a little sluggishly, but that can probably be corrected.

I need to find someone to do a wide scope tune for my car now.

do you have any logs yet to see what it is doing when it stalls?

I'm assuming you have both a MAP and an IAT sensor installed, correcT?

Of course. I've had them all for some time. After unplugging and plugging the ECMlink MAF plug, the car started back up and ran fine, right back to my garage.

Dude once you get the SD running right on the car you will love it. I was running my old 1g on SD and it almost seemed like it was made to run that way.

Ive been running SD on my 1G for about a year now and i love it. my tune is spot on and even on E85 and 21lbs of boost with 28 degrees of timing. its can be some what difficult to get the tune "perfect" but once its there its done. boost leaks and bad MAFs are a thing of the past. just to prove a point to a fellow DSMer i unplugged a vaccum line and my car still ran like a beast. In the future i think we will see alot more DSMers convert to SD.

Special thanks to the yahoo group, ECMtuning, and all the others that figured this out without having to go to a stand alone.

Turns out my TPS plug for the Q45 TB has been on the fritz causing freakish readings through DSMlink.

Ugh, I with someone would make a custom q45 billet TB that was a lot less complicated and just worked.

have you ever considered a Accufab throttle body step up? i know there alot of money but its an option.
