First up, mods if this isn't in the proper place, I apologize and please move it. Also if this is a repost, again sorry.

But, basically I've been eyeballing a 20G setup while I build my 10:1 long-rod G4CS and twin-scroll HX40 setup and get all that stuff ready....however there are a metric ton of HX35's popping up for a great price. My thing is, I refuse to go with a restalled converter. I hate driving any restalled converters on the street, as that "snap" you get with the stock converter is gone. Hate all you want, I can't get around it so I'm sticking with the stock converter, period. Really don't want to deal with nitrous either...

So, to put it simply, does anyone have any experience with the stock converter and an HX35 in the .55 a/r DSM bolt on housing? Were you able to stall it up at all or not?

Setup for now is a 6-bolt 2.0L with 8.5:1 2G pistons on 1G rods, 1G head, HKS 272 cams, Cyclone IM(Actuated via TunerPro), etc.

Mr Peepers is on a stock converter with his Hx35.. However, he is on a custom t3 twin scroll manifold for a stock housing. Thing spools ungodly fast! He daily's it in the summer and drives it to and from the track numerous times a year. Ticked of a 10.14 @131 was last year.

DO IT!

^ Stock converter, .55 BEP on a 7-blade HX35. I would know, I built it. :D

Oh wow. That's pretty great news. Not for my wallet, but good news for the GSX. :p Thanks Justin!

You're not supposed to tempt me further. :p I have thought of a twin-scroll HX35 a lot. 2.0L, twin scroll HX35, and Cyclone IM would make one hell of a fun street car. :hmm: Damn it Crash. I thought I had my mind made up.
