HX35 stock vband clamp

hey all, just thought i would share some info since it took me forever to find it

for those who may use the stock hx35 vband and just mod the downpipe to fit the part number for the v band clamp is 04886012AA , it took me over a week for the dealer to figure out what i was looking for since i didnt have a VIN or part number so hopefully this will save some others a few headaches

on a side note the hx35 sounds so awesome on a 3 inch straightpipe

You talking about this part? It all comes apart and one of those pieces gets welded to the downpipe. Just did a google searh for it.

The part number you put up is a mitsu dealer part #?

No the stock hx35 turbo has a vband flange on it , it attached to an elbow on the dodge truck, I had the elbow and turbo but not the clamp to attach them together , that's the dodge part number for the clamp

i should note, the parts arn't cheap, the cost of that clamp is the same as buying a 3" v band "kit" from somewhere like extremepsi. but with that said it is much easier to mod the stock downpipe and make one then it is to cut off the stock hx35 vband and weld a new vband flange to the turbo

Thats strange, I've never seen that O2 housing before. Every Dodge O2 housing I've seen, was a 1pc flange/o2. No V Band. Only V Band on the Turbo is the compressor outlet.

THIS was actually what I was interested in! Anyone have a part# for the 90 pipe and clamp??? Also, why doesn't anyone ever run this piece, instead of shaving down the vband?

i have those also,

intake clamp - 04882048
intake elbow - 04746644

and in reply to infiniteGSX , MOST dodges came with the elbow as part of the rear flange but some came with it seperate and in my case i ended up with 2 hx35 turbos with seperate elbows but both were missing the clamp
