HX35 7-blade or 8-blade for pump gas?

What's the best option for the HX35 - 7-blade or 8-blade on non-E85 pump gas (94 octane in my case)?

Ive had both on 93 and e85.Either one works fine.

I would say that depends on your desired boost level. The 7-blade, despite being physically smaller, will provide a cooler air charge at higher boost levels due to less blade count and a higher overall trim.

25-28ish psi is the likely limit of 94, I would think. Most accounts of the 7-blade I've seen say it shines at 30 psi or more.

Your desired boost level would suggest the 8-blade as the better option, although the 7-blade would allow room to grow should you decide to turn up the wick in the future.

That's what I was thinking too, thank you. I just picked an 8-blade out of a dumpster, so the 7-blade can go back into its dumpster until we finally get E85.
