Okay I have the option to buy an HX35 turbo with an 8 blade compressor wheel or an HX 35 with a 7 blade compressor wheel. Both are rebuilt and are the same price, and both have the BEP .55 A/R turbine housing.

I've been reading mixed results with spool times and flow. I would like to know which turbo will spool faster, which turbo is more efficient, and which turbo makes more flow with the BEP housing?

Thanks in advance.

Okay thanks a lot that's what I needed to know, I also have an automatic if that makes a difference. I'm looking for 400-450awhp

I can definitely verify that with experience on my own 7 blade HX-35. I was maxxed out at 54 lb/min on the BEP housing and am currently switching to the .70 A/R T3 housing to hopefully max out the compressor.

However, I did buy the 7 blade with the intention of upgrading to T3 down the road. I ran it in the BEP housing for 1.5 years and had a blast. Now I'm using the same turbo and just upgrading the exh mani, turbine housing & O2 housing. $500 upgrade. (I fabbed the O2 housing myself) If I can get an extra 4-5 lb/min out of it, then it was worth it IMO.
