So I have a 99 Eclipse GS and the HVAC control switch (temp control, fan speed, position) doesn't always light up. It will sometimes but then if I turn any of the knobs or go over a bump it'll go off. I believe it's a ground issue but can anyone tell me where it's grounded to?

Any help would be awesome!

Yep, that's how I felt 10 years ago. That's why they're great as a DD. I'm on my 4th DSM, and only the first was N/T. I've gotten lucky, but still had bad luck with my last one. For my next Talon, it'll be by choice to get the N/T and I know it's been well taken care of and runs flawlessly. So it'll be worth it.

I just wish I had something that was manual and turbod. I mean yeah the 420 is a semi fast engine but I've never driven a turbod car so I'm honestly considering doing a manual swap on my car and turboing mine. But I would have to rebuild my engine ### it has a knock on top end

Well the 420a is a decent starter engine. I've seen plenty of them turbocharged, but not many done well. Most think that because it shares its name with the SRT4s, that it can handle the same punishment, yet that's far from the truth. So if you do the swap, just make sure you know what you're in for before starting, and have a goal, and plan for reaching it.

I don't wanna run alot maybe 10-13 psi tops ### in sure that's all my engine really could handle LOL have u ever done a manual swap on it?

I've never done a manual swap, always owned manual DSMs. Just start small with the boost pressure. I helped a friend turbo his Hyundai Tiburon a few years ago. He ran 7psi and became faster than my old Spyder that was pushing 15psi. He had a V6, but it still didn't need a lot to over power my car. Might be different for the 420 though.

Yeah it's not gonna be anytime soon that I would do the turbo swap on it. But if i do a manual swap and a turbo swap then it's the same thing as a gst right? Just alittle worse of an engine

Yeah. I had a chance to buy a 6 bolt just could never get the money for it. And what'd u mean by sensitive????

Hey dude, was reorganizing my tool box drawers and found this switch section so I put it in my car to see what colors I modded it to.. Was blue, so figured it'd show you how yours will look when you're done ;)

Damn that looks really sweet I'm really excited to get mine done!!! Did you ever get a chance to look at the shifter thingy lights???

Well I mean it's the same bulbs as there are In the cigarette lighter so would u know what that is? Also I might just put a strip in it. Something my girlfriend suggested to me tonight was to put blue led strips in the vents so that was they glow through the vents which I thought would be awesome. What's your opinion on it???

If I remember right, I put one of the lights I bought for the gauge cluster into the socket for the cigarette lighter, Which also glows red on mine. Here's the link for that bulb:
PC74 LED Bulb - High Power Instrument Panel LED | Instrument Cluster and Gauge | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

As for other interior accent lighting, I liked it when I was younger. My first DSM I ended up putting all sorts of green neons in it. But I grew out of that scene and started doing lighting that looked better than all that. In my first Spyder, I put a neon under the stereo, and LEDs in the door pockets that only turned on when the doors opened, and removed the factory floor lighting.
