So I have a 99 Eclipse GS and the HVAC control switch (temp control, fan speed, position) doesn't always light up. It will sometimes but then if I turn any of the knobs or go over a bump it'll go off. I believe it's a ground issue but can anyone tell me where it's grounded to?

Any help would be awesome!

If I were to splice them into one of the buttons would they light up with all the other lights?? ### they buttons on the left side dont light up but that's probably from blown bulbs

If the button lights are working properly, they would all work properly. Although if you stick all the LEDs into one power source, that could raise the resistance and over time cause things like blown fuses. But that takes awhile. On my first Spyder, which was the first DSM I started doing all this on, I had a set of LED bulbs that I built up for my cluster and wired them all into the cruise control switch. I never had any issues that were caused by the car or power fluctuations. They ran just fine.

Then ill probably with it into them. Or maybe the fog lights being I don't really use my fog lights ### only one works for now

Yeah that's what I was thinking

So I put them in today!!! I like them and they wasent any tint on the face of it either

The only thing now is that the position choosing knob isn't switching position the cable is moving it just isn't changing its position where the airs coming out off

That's man! I'm looking foreward to doing the gauges now. Trying to do them on Friday and surprising it all went really smooth with taking the controls apart and getting them out and all that I thought it would be alot harder. And I think something happened to the cable ### the cable moves back and forth freely but it dosent move the hate control at all or whatever the cable is connected to at the other end

*thanks

The one that goes from the position selector on the control until to under the steering wheel section of the dash board

Here this is the one I'm talking about

Awesome. I'll get on that and let you know. It's been several months, but I'm pretty sure it connects to the air diverter box unit the sits in the middle of the dash right behind your HVAC unit and center vents.

Yeah I'm not it's right under the dash on the drivers side

I could be wrong tho being I don't know much about it all

Sorry dude, got a little side tracked. But, as promised, here are some pics ;)

Since I took the lower dash panel off, I'll leave it off for a little while if you need any other pics.

It's all good. So I'm looking at the bulbs right now and which size do I need between the 3,4 and 5cm

I wanna replace all the switches with blue leds

And thanks I appreciate the help as I've said many times. It's made this all alot easier

That one I have no clue on. Kinda sucks though. I had the center console pulled out tonight on the auto eclipse at school and I didn't even think about checking it out. Tomorrow is the last chance I get to work on it since it's my last day in that class, so if I remember, I'll pull the console back out and snap some pics. As well as see what lights it has.

Gotcha that would be awesome ### I was gonna order all the night tomorrow so they'll all be here around the same time as me finishing the gauge cluster too! So it'll all be blue

Very nice, you'll definitely have to post up pics when you're done. I'm thinking of repainting my car when I finally get everything for my AWD swap. If I do, I may just do custom light coloring to match the paint color. But will have to research what I got in mind.

Definitely will do! And yeah I still wanna do my underglow too and I wanna 2 tone my car black on the top, silver on the sides, carbon fiber hood and I wanna powder coat my rims. I've actually been debating doing a gst swap on my car. After I move back into a house where ill have a garage I can work in

Just keep in mind, that swapping the 4g63 into a 420a model, is very time consuming and requires a lot of welding and precise measuring to move the engine mounds to the right locations. I'm not trying to persuade you to not do it, but it's more feasible to just buy a turbo model. Sadly it's the truth. I wanted to do the same 10 years ago when I had my N/T Talon. However, if you could swing the $$ to get one, you could drop a 4g63 from an Evo into it and the engine would already be oriented properly. That's what I want to do after I buy my next DSM from one of my friends ('95 Talon ESi). Will be my DD while the Spyder gets its transformation.

Ergggggg it seems like I got the short end of the stick with the 2g I got. There isn't a much I can do to it :( this is why I want a gsx
