how to tell what 16g turbo u have?

i was just wondering if there is anyway to tell what 16g u have just by looking at it. like what numbers to look for any thing distinguishing about about them

small 16g
big 16g
evo3 16g

how do u tell the difference

On the turbo you will have a set of numbers on it. The first tells what housing it is, if it is a 16g then it will say TDO5H-######. In the spot where those numbers are, the last digits tell what type.
If the last 3 or 4 digits are

420 - Big 16G

520 - Small 16G

1470 - Evo III 16G

That's a good start.

The complete serial numbers should appear like this:

49178 - 01420: Big
49178 - 01520: Small
49178 - 01470: EVO III

As mentioned above, the numbers you're looking for are the 42, 52, or 47. Keep in mind that all bets are off if the wheel has been changed. However if it's a factory piece, those numbers will be valid.
