How can I tell what spline tranny my car has. I dont have it at the moment sent it to be fixed but I need to know what it is. Is there a way to find out witu no trans in the car?

you can check the number of grooves your clutch has where the input shaft slides in. thats all your counting is the splines themselves.
He is talking about the output shaft on the transmission. All 4g63 transmissions 90-99 use the same spline count on the input shaft. The output shaft will be 22 or 23 spline. IT should have a 23 spline shaft being that it is a 91+ car, but you never know if a 90 trans has been swapped in there. The only way to figure out is to count the splines on the shaft or count them in the transfer case.

the 90's have a different spline count then the 91-94.

I missed the second half of the that post wow. You can also take a look at ## shifter base. In order to us a 90 Trans in a 91+ car all components need to changed.
