how to tell if its a Mitsubishi turbo of ebay turbo

usually it will say genuine mitsu or mhi in the description as they command higher prices than flea bay garbage

eBay turbos will say TURBOCHARGER on them.

ebay turbos have a raised data plate that either has the model stamped or etched into them, Mitsubishi turbos have numbers molded into the compressor housing - there maybe two number in the middle that are stamped

heres the easiest way... if the turbo says "TURBOCHARGER" or "EVO III 16G" on the compressor, its a fake.

look for a small Mitsu symbol on the turbine housing

Chinabay 16gs have a straight, adjustable WG actuator arm, while MHI units have a dog-legged arm with no threaded adjuster.

Look at the wastegate too. If the arm is straight and adjustable, it is an ebay turbo. It should be straight and bend at the end of the exhaust side.

That's just what I look for since it's hard to tell from pictures otherwise.
