Doing a BSE. I got the nut off the sprocket and there is zero play in the sprocket and surprisingly I haven't found any info on this which leads me to believe that it's supposed to be easy, but I couldn't easily pry it off and don't want to keep trying if I'm gonna break something. Help anyone? Thanks

Come on, someone out there must have removed a crankshaft sprocket before... Anyone?

There is no nut on the crank sprocket. So what you talking bout willis? If you're talking about the balance shaft sprocket it'll come out when you pull the front cover out. The crankshaft bolt comes off and the sprocket should come off fairly easily, if it's seized on there somehow I'd throw a little lubricant on there and pry carefully.

The sprocket has threaded holes in it, if it is seized than use a harmonic balancer puller on it. Make sure to use the right tip on the puller though so you don't damage the threads in the crank. Also which bse kit did you get? If it doesn't use the oem stubby shaft than return it or throw it in the trash.

My bad, the bolt. It's kinda fat and short so I related it to a nut. My sprocket isn't loose tho so I wasn't sure. Thanks

Oops, my bad. I think I assumed it was such a newb question that I'd b wasting my time checking. I'll do better with the pre searching in the future... And thanks!
