How to make 8 sec motor

Well.. it's funny you should mention that.. I just seen an episode of Myth Busters and they did it for under a grand =) but it involves jet engines and model rocket accelerators.

How do we know this dude isnt loaded. i mean granted hes more than likely not, but could you just answer his question jeez. i know two gutted drift 240 SXz that run hi 9s; ### they got dough. My guess is is like aboves, 30-40K, hell maybe 50. Just gotta buy a built motor, drivetrain, slicks, gut it from head to toe, and tune like heck

i second that man^^^.......id say lots of displacment,boost,fuel and money. Forged all the way everything. BIGG TURBO. NOS. stroker of course. lightend car and body. Nice tires. Could be done in 6 months with the right number shown. 3 months cost a guy a number the size of your telephone number w/o the area code. Now thats crazyy. Jegs makes sick power motors and trannys. AMS is also one hell of a place. Call busher,AMS,etcc....

If he was loaded he would not be messing around with a dsm.

first off, if you have to ask- THAT tells us you dont have the money.
Unless your trying to make a name for yourself or your company ( AMS, Buscher,ACT,etc...) then a dsm is not the car to build. And if you did have the money then I would suggest you at least start with a more acceptable platform, if you have enough money then buy a Supra MK4,or an equivilant, s**t- my buddy is in the low 9's and hasn't spent the money you would need too with a DSM.
However if you have a company and are going to be big, then go right ahead. But consider, maybe...LOGIC

You need to ask yourself, How do you make an 8 second driver? It doesn't matter if you have an 8 second car, You can still run numerous seconds slower then what the car is capable of.

Have you ever ran 13's? Yes you say? How about 12's? Yes you say? Ok ok... How about low 11's or high 10's? If you answered yes, Then how about breaking into the 9.90's? Yes you say? Well then, You should delete this thread, Because you don't need anyones opinion on here, Especially the guys with high 13 second and up cars.

It is possible you have the money, As it is the internet and no one knows you. I suggest if you did have the money, Either you waste it, Take it right to a shop and tell them exactly what you want and cut them a check without a price, And they fill it out when the car is done... OR, You can read more, Learn more, And over-time, Slowly mod your car, You would want to buy all the parts ONCE, So I would suggest not picking out little baby street car s16g/14b type parts if you want to go FAST.
