I was wondering how I could make my stock 1g BOV very loud like PPPPSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOL. Or am i better off getting an aftermarket one like HKS?

LOL. Now I know why I browse tuners.

well to answer your question, the one way to make it louder would be to dump BUT.... you should probably already know that can cause many problems. But if you want to have that sound without the problems just get something to trick the ecu like a MAF translator or something of the sort.

On a side note having the BOV dumped does NOT help performance.

Glad I could be of service and saved another car from a 'tarded owner.:thumb:

The easiest way to make your BOV louder would be to increase your boost pressure like Jusmx141 said. Other options would be to buy a tuning system that deletes our cars stock MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor which measures the incoming air, it is because of the MAF that our cars can not Dump or Vent our BOV discharge into the atmosphere making it louder rather than recirculating it back into the intake. Some tuning systems that delete the MAF are AEM EMS, DSMap, and MAFT. IF you do not want to buy a tuning system so you can vent your BOV you can always start by raising your boost pressure, and then buying solid charge lines which will absorb less sound from the turbo and BOV than the rubber OEM lines.

oh and when you dump your bov dont forget to but a duck call whistle on it:thumb:

no but seriously most of us are here to learn and make our cars the fastest, best handling performance cars we can and dont care for showing off or any of that hole ricer scene.

My friend did this by going to lowes, go to the plumbing section and get a metal pipe that is used for sink drain pipe. It will look chrome to give you an idea and get it a little smaller than the recirculating rubber hose size that way it can fit in each end. Hope this picture explains a little better. Also try drilling some really small holes in the pipe for a louder effect.
This is a cheap way of doing it and works.

Wow don't do anything this guy just said. If you want the riciest thing you can do that will make your car run bad this is it. Either get a system that will allow you to vent to the atmosphere without problems or turn up the boost. Simple as that.

louder BOV = cone air filter and hard intake pipe....

venting = :(

OMFG!!

That is priceless. I've heard of HDR...but oh my GAWD! DON'T MAKE YOUR ICP OUT OF TOILET HOSES!

P.S. As not to offend any toilet plumbing...I use 3" to 2" reducers for my blow thru MAFT setup...works like a charm ;)
