Hey guys...

Im trying to learn as much as i can about 4g63's and basic mods, since im selling my gs and finally getting a gsx.

I was reading last night that venting an aftermarket BOV or 1G bov will make you extremely rich. Recirc fixes this, but what are the downsides to having a vented bov?

yes I did search, but I want to know if there is a serious decrease in power due to this...

Thanks,
Brian

If I am not mistaken the deal with running rich is only when you are running the stock maf sensor. The reason is the ecu is adding extra fuel for the air that is supposed to be getting recirculated even though it is not there when you dump to atmosphere. If you run a maft with a gm sensor after the bov you will not have any problems running rich.

You will find everything you need to know here. I'm sorry but there are just too many venting threads and the answer never changes.
