bov venting

Where should I vent my bov? I know its not right to vent it into the atmospere, but I would like to know why. Why is routing it into the intake make it (better). Please help me!

if you vent it into the atmosphere it loses HP and it cost alot for the parts to vent it properly with no idle issues
