Let me give you my goals first. I just bought a GST. It's completely stock. I didn't buy it to be a track car. I bought it for speed AND a "wow" factor and it's my daily driver. It Probably won't see 300+hp unless i fall into a lot more money soon. So my question is, What intake will make my turbo sound louder, and what BOV is nice and loud? And, should i vent my BOV or recirculate it to make it louder? What are the pro's and con's of Venting and recirculating?

---edit----

hmmm, maybe i didn't make things clear. I'm not some jack@ss who wants to put as many stickers on his car as possible and drive around with a non-painted body kit. I'm asking because i don't know. i searched and read up on stuff. but i don't know what a MAFT or that stuff is. i'm BRAND new to DSMs. i JUST bought mine. i'd rather ask a question and look stupid then be like most of the people on this site who do stuff then come back complaining that their car runs like crap.

I wanted some advice, not criticism, on what a good intake would be, and what BOV not only works good, but sounds good too. I don't understand why i got banned either. it CLEARLY says... "The only forum you may ask about venting your BOV (if you don't have an MAFT or standalone) is the Newbie forum." and that is EXACTLY what i did. i posted in the newbie forum because that's what i am.

What do i need to do to have the best performance and sound out of my turbo and BOV. If i'm only sacrificing a little performance for better sound than that's fine with me. like only 5hp. What does it take to have a vented BOV not only sound good, but be just as or more efficient that re-circulated?

please help with advice or don't post at all. i already know that i basiclly know nothing, and i'm having trouble finding things by searching for them. You don't need to tell me something i already know. thanks.

That's a great question to ask if you wanna be banned from this site. But i'll answer it anyway. Any intake will make your bov sound louder. And pretty much any bov will be loud if it's vented. But in order to vent the bov you need to do some things first because if you vent with your stock set up, the car will run like crap. There are no cons to recirculating. And there are no pros to venting.

As Blaze said you gonna need some more things if you want to vent, well you need the MAF Translator and GM MAF sensor. Your BOV will be much louder if you vent.

P.S. For your own sake, I would do some search on the forum, because questions like these will get you bad reputation :)

Like run a GM MAF and MAF translator; but they're expensive, and implementing that setup just to vent your BOV is ridiculous.

By keeping consistent with the spirit of this forum, we do things to our cars to either increase power or speed. Venting the BOV just for the sound isn't something anybody here would recommend.

Well not that expensive. You can get them for around $250-$300.
I used it on my project turbo galant as a fuel management, so I got the double benefit of it:)
