how much boost is too much?

hey just wondering, how much boost is too much boost for a stock 1g?
im pretty sure it pushes 7 stock, but im just wondering if id be able to get a bit more out of it?
or should i keep it all stock as a rock?
i would like to get some more boost but i dont wanna be one of those fools who over-boost their talons and blow it up.. haha lemme know

I believe he's got the stock 1g 14b. 15 lbs max on stock fuel system. Simply install a mbc.

Leave it at stock boost unless you have a way to see your AFR, if you want it to be faster do a blt. Fix every leak you find and you should notice a huge difference.

ya its got a mbc, i was just wondering if i was able to get some more out of my turbo. i just wanna play it safe ya know?

well if you wanna turn the booost up your going to need a wideband and a safc for a simple stock setup

Buy a logger, turn up the boost until your injector duty nears 90% under full load or you start to see knock under full load as well, then back it down a couple psi.

If you blow the head gasket out the front of the head, you went too far.

i have and apexi turbo timer, its shows AFR, battery charge, turbo time, and something else i cant remember right now

Dont go changing boost unless you have a way to control and log it. As well as tune for it. Stock ecu and fuel is good enough for about 2-4 psi higher but you still can run into problems by changing. First thing first is to find a logging and tuning equipment. Then do upgrades such as fuel and boost.
