How many miles till i can get on it?

Hey,

I just rebuilt my head. It's a beaut. I was wondering how long i should break it in for. Not a completely rebuilt engine, but just the head. There is a break in period right? It makes sense to me at least

just take it out and drive the hick out of it.

I may be speaking a little bit outta my ass, but there's nothing on the head that needs broken in except the cams/rockers. If you didn't change those, and just did the vavles, seals etc. you should be fine right away.

Again, I'm not a mechanic, but really, there's nothing that Should need broken in.

well cool. i finally started it up today, and that KNOCKING, was so loud. Finally took it out, drove it around the block, and sure enough disappeared just like the dsm'ers always said. I will drive it stock for a while i think, make sure everythings cosher, then crank up the boost again. Thanks for the INFO guys.
