on my 91 talon tsi? i just got the car and so far it is looking like i will get around 210-220 miles on my first full tank. does that seem a little low?

That sounds about right. I get anywhere between 200-240 (I do a lot of highway driving to and from school) In the city it is anwhere between 200-220.

You're pretty stock too...
MBC, K&N, boost gauge...
I also have a brand new cat, new Denso 1st & 2nd O2 sensors.
These help with fuel economy....

My thinking on the K&N is that the ECU will want to richen things up a bit.
I think I want to get an SAFC or equivalent so I can see where everything is before I make it breath better.

I get 160/ tank.

Recirculated BOV, New O2 sensor, new filters. blah blah. all of you whine about it when u get less than 160

I get 200-210 miles on my 98 GSX. I know I have an O2 sensor problem. No matter whether it's highway or city driving, I get 16-17 mpgs.

he he i was in the same boat for a while be4 I replaced my o2 sensor. I was getting 13.3MPG

Now I'm getting around 270 miles per tank 21MPG all city stop-and-go driving.

halik

During this season I get anywhere from 20-25 mpg, with 20-22 being mostly local and 25 mpg being almost all highway miles. In the winter last year I got 16 one time, and that was sort of ### :( . All I have so far is a filter and an exhaust leak though.

wow...my O2 sensor must be my culprit then. I'll see what I do today for miles per tank but Im only at 135 miles w/ 1/4 tank left. This thing is getting worse gas milage than my 88 TA with rebuilt 355.

Those are excellent numbers on the highway for your mod list...
City, that's to be expected. It's almost impossible to get good fuel mileage in the city with these cars.
I can get off of the freeway with a 1/4 tank, drive another 15 miles and only have like an 1/8 left.
Keep'em Spoolin....

I get 190 per tank on 93 octane with mostly city miles.

Pretty sad.

I got the same mileage with this car when I was making 210chp as I do now at around 400chp. I need DSMlink pretty badly.

It does better on the highway, but I've had drag radials on all 4 for more than 10,000 miles, so I haven't really taken any road trips with it. ???

For a few days the upper intercooler pipe pretty much disconnected itself from the throttle body elbow without me noticing. I think then I got 140/tank.

Now that I switched to hard pipes I get 160/tank.

Time for an o2 change.

I am at about 3/8 of a tank and only have put about 85 miles on.

I dont drive my car very far but I have to because the distance that I need to cover is short but not short enough for walking.

I think my o2 sensor is probably bad too.

i usually fill mine at 270-340. i average 28 mpg combined city and highway. im not on it all the time though, that might have something to do with it. i dont know how much fuel is left when the gas light comes on, but it comes on once every couple of months. i managed 29 mpg one time, i drove an hour and a half at 80 to an autocross, ran it at the event (lots of idling after runs) then another hour and a half home at 80 or so. i still think i screwed up the math....

The fuel gauge is undoubtedly wrong, I believe due to a wiring problem or something along those lines. 2Gs are supposed to have something like a 15.2 gallon gas tank, whereas I end up getting 10 gallons every time I fill up. As for miles per gallon, 28 mpg combined is pretty freaking impressive.

hmm...im not sure what the conversion is, i thought 1 mile = 1.6 km rite? because i am getting 650 kms on one tank, mods are only exhaust, k&n, thats it....

20MPG with the mods in my profile.

That's what I get in the city. On the highway I get about 26MPG. However, we both have AWD cars, and the person in question has a FWD car. This makes a significant difference in gas mileage. I get about 250-320 miles per tank depending on how much highway/city driving I do. Of course, it also depends on exactly what point I fill up the tank.
