GST People!! How many miles can you get on a full tank??

from Suisun City (North Bay Area) to Diamond Bar (So-Cal) is about 420-430 miles. I don't even stop once to get gas. this is about 5-6 hours of driving on I5 @75-80 mph (with a couple of stretches a bit faster;) )
i think i could probably push it to 450, but i dont want to take that chance.

combined city/highway miles, i can go about 350-375 before i decide to fill up.

i get 27 mpg runnin it a little hard occasionaly and i have a 16 gallon fuel tank; is there more than one size fuel tank available for these cars. so anyways i end up with about 400 miles on a tank

Just did my weekly trip from Fremont, CA to Los Angeles... one full tank got me a little over 400. That's long stretch of highway at 80-90mph average with some 100-105mph stints. Power and Milleage... What more can you ask for!!!

I get 350-380 on the highway running about 80-85 mph...I figured it up on my last fill up and I was getting about 27 mpg with about 75/25 highway/city driving....

how are you guys getting this gas mileage i know there isn't a huge difference from awd and front wheel drive turbo wtf

i have an NT but here's mine anyway. i get 320 mpg on a full tank, both city and highway (well mostly highway). i just changed my O2 sensor and before that was 300+ mpg.i fill my tank with 87 octane (lifters get a lot noisier with 93) and run around 55-75 on the highway.

Here in Buffalo, now that it's getting colder, I'm getting around 220 - 230 with my auto GSX. It gets kinda annoying having to refuel almost twice a week being a commuter to work and all. We've got 94 Octane gas for $1.75 so it's nice.

Ahh, that is what is killing your gas mileage...your automatic. I have a friend with a '97 GSX auto and his gas mileage is horrible compared to mine. I get around 250 city and 300-350 highway. He gets like half those numbers...

I always fill it up to half, and record better MPG, around 22-23. It always seems when i fill it up it ends up worse. Dont know if its that the car is heavier, or if i just have more of a lead foot cuz the needle is higher, but i stick with 10 bux usually

When's the last time you changed or looked at your plugs? Should be replacing them every 10K miles or less even. How do you drive? Usually I do 3-5 shifts as I'm up to speed by 3rd and am cruzin' so no sense in running higher rpm than need be. I also get up to cruzin' speed as quick as possible so I can get into 5th (when practical). If none of the above is applicable, I'd find someone with datalogger equipment so that you can diagnose whazzup. How many miles do you have on the car? Any mods? How are your injectors working? Are they clean or plugged up?
Let me know....

I'm curious...what exactly on the datalogger should one be looking at? I just got a pocketlogger, but haven't really used it for anything other than puling error codes so far. I'm in the same situation as Bubbagsx. I get just about 200 miles per tank, fuel system includes walbro 255 and stock injectors. I'd say 90% of my driving is city driving.

You might wanna check your O2 sensors.. Your call will run very rich (too much gas) if the car gets bad readings from the O2.. My car drank gas like crazy when mine was out..
BTW.. I have a '95 TSi 5-spd. with about 90K miles on it and get 300-325 miles to a tank. I've noticed that it helps to change those copper plugs about every 12k-15k miles as well.. (NGK bpr7es for me!)
OF COURSE.. if you really want to save gas.. just turn your boost all the way down..... LOL yea right!

Peace
