Hey My name is Rob and I always hear about how many miles are on peoples Honda's, and Toyota's but I understand that most of them are not turbo, and I have been told that turbo cars dont last nearly as long as N/A cars do. But anyways it would be cool if everyone could share how many miles there cars have. I kinda want alittle reassurance that when I get a DSM it will last over 100 thousand miles, (Of course it will be well maintained and taken care of.) Thank you all in advance.

Rob.

1990 tsi with 178k and still going
My n/t laser has 300k+ on it. I can't remember exactly because I've had to roll it back a few times but I know it's around there.

215k tranny went twice already, same engine, doesnt smoke runs like it had 50k I got it at 120K and have had it set at 15psi and its seen 20psi 3 times at the track....

I think it has to do in how the engines are broken in and how they are driven...mine was middle age owned before and they guy would get on it every now and then but not often, when I got it, it smoked, i found out it was the turbo seals, replaced it with a big 16g and never had a problem, not even the lifter tick like my old gsx.

162,000. made it to 153k before the timing belt snapped and had to rebuild. everything else works great though

LOL engine go around 100, 000 if they are well abused, but if someone takes real good care of the engine it'll probably never blow my buddy in ohio has a talon tsi awd that's at about 231,000 miles and still gets good compression on all cylinders. My porsche is the only car that can take real abuse and still run well. My gsx is on it's 2nd and half(new head) motor.

Just bought a 96 Spyder GST very cheap that needed a new turbo. Body has 164k on it. Manual tranny was rebuilt 50k ago and a JDM motor was just put in it before it was sold to me.

185,000 miles on the Talon. 183,000 on the original engine before the rebuild.

92 TSi with 85k on body and ?? on "JDM imported" cyclone engine, my 95 GS-T has 135k and a blown headgasket or worse
