This is a hard question, and I can't find answer anywhere. Could you help me, please?

Suspension wise I can sum it up. 2g is complicated and expensive. 1g is simple and cheap. Mcpherson strut vs 5 link. But you can still make the old gal work, EVOs have the front struts as well and they won plenty of championships.

2G torque converters will lock up at speed. 1G torque converters do not lock up.

1g eclipse everywhere simple, while 2g too complicated... But I love 2g for it appearance :D OK, thank you all for information. It would be perfect if 1G drivetrain could go to 2G quite easily... :D

i actually had a similar question because i want to by 2nd gen RS and swap complete driveterain and engine from 1st gen GSX how easy it would be. not manual labor wise but the compatibility of parts

1st off the 1g rear suspension is no where close to bolting on a 2g. It won't work. The engine will not work either. the engine bay's are totally different from the 2g non turbo cars. IF you want to go this route than find a 2g turbo shell for 500 or less.

well i knew that engine mounts were different from turbo to NA (as well as different mounts from 1st gen to 2nd) didnt know it was completely different. and i didnt mean use 2g trans with 1g T-case. i wanted to swap 1g engine, trans, transfer case and diffs into 2g shell but i guess it work either. unless someone has any ideas

Unless you have a turbo shell or are able to cut the inner fenders and frame rails form a turbo car and weld them into the non turbo shell it isn't going to happen.
