Can you redo the first pictures of the timing maps by hitting Alt + Print Screen. That will make an image copy of only the active window. The text is a little too small to read.

I'm suprised you're not getting any knock from 6000 to 6500 rpm. That's a pretty large jump up in timing from 20-25*

Also posting a log would help.

It does not look dangerous but just keep playing with til you get rid of the knock and advance where there's no knock. The pump here don't like more than about 17* on my 6bolt/16g. Agressive to one car can be conservative to another so play with it til you find the happy spot. If you highlight the lower load area and add a few degrees to the whole left side of the map it will feel like a whole new car. Try it but keep the "knock above load" low so you don't filter out knock down low.
Low load changes will have to be made on the "low oct map"

Here's what I'm running. It's the stock evo 8 timing on the 96530006 rom. I figure that since they run around 20psi, and so am I, that I should be safe. Especially since they have a higher compression ratio. This thing pulls hard. I'm running a small 16g.

I run all the way out to 260 load.

ok looking @ the stock map @ 260 load leak load/boost would be retard timing... isnt that bad?

I could probably use a good tune. Right now, I'm happy that my car is even running without the stuttering problem I was having at 14-15psi.

I was running this without a problem, and I'll probably go back to something like this once I rescale my rom to 300 load.

This is what the Evo tuning guide suggests for cars (Evo IX) running ~21psi. Since our engines are lower compression, I could probably push this a bit higher.

sick. yea i reflashed the rom test 5 that had only high rpm knock like redline knock, and a dude on evom said to bump up pre boost load timing and it will be smoother and night and day about was it nit and day just uping all the timing i the lo load are by 3 degs except for idle got rid of the high rpm knock 4th and 5th gear low boost knock is around 5 not for long though... its amazing how smoothness plays a big role. ( i need a e316g.....)

I know I actually looked it up before posting in your area to see if you could run it. I hit about 16* at lowest and rises too 22* solid at peak tq to redline. E85 is great.

wouldnt peak tq be peak boost/load:aha:? but yea any way how much load are you hitting? i bet not as low as me LOL. low boost is my half ass e85 LOL.

No since he isn't hitting that load at that low rpm. And all you lucky punks, im running 3* above 5k on crappy california 91.

yea i can get e85 as whell but i have to pay 2 tolls and drive like 45 mins.. (mit just get like 4 5gal cans when im ready and use it on week ends...that in the future though.

Actually, I am hitting some of those negative cells. I can hit 260 load at 3300 RPM. My small 16g hits hard.

The bottom of the timing dip is -2*, no knock.

But like I also said, I could really use a good tune. I know I can get away with more timing than that. I have maps with 2-4* timing there.

I forgot how fast that turbo spooled, never even touched those with my lag monster ha. And ive tried to get away with more timing but it just doesn't happen for me.

I just read through the WHOLE 37 page timing map thread on evolutionm. I should be good for at least 4* at peak boost, if not more. I can use a healthy bump in timing all across my map. :D

I really need to get some time on the road and tune...

Do a few pulls and up your timing just a bit after each one and find the sweet spot for your car. Because what your "suppose" to be able to do isn't always the case. Either way your map does look conservative so go do some street tuning and post up some results.
