I can't help you out with the launching tips as I'm a FWD but If it was just a T&T or SL don't worry about your RT the clock doesn't start until you cross that line, so just concentrate on getting your launch down, I know for me I slip the clutch out, but it may be different for AWD. Most importantly just practice, practice, practice.

Hope this helps.

thanks for ## help any ways but yeah it was my first time there i didnt know wats was going on there was ppl watching and let me tell u it feelt like ## first day in school LOL
but i mean all i was hoping for ### like a 12 .9 or 13.0 but i hope wiht practice ill get it there thankx

What kind of tires are you running on? Crappy street tires never lead to a great launch so that could be half your battle. Dropping the clutch isn't the way you want to do it either, definatley slip it out. I would start with the 2 step at about 4500 rpm and try slipping the clutch out, too slow and you'll smell burning clutch, too fast and you'll bog out. Find that happy medium where your either spinning the tires or launching great. If your spinning to much lower the 2 step and try again, if your bogging or not taking off with enough force raise the 2 step. Also read through this thread as it has alot of info on launching with your AWD. Everyone has to find their own sweet spot from what I've gathered.

Your Launch is nothing to worry about, that fact that you only trapped 92mph is. A BONE STOCK car will trap 92 or better, you have something seriously wrong.

Post up the Log.

im auto but my 1st time was pretty much the same. i had never been to a track much before and i had a this upset stomach feeling. you have to block everybody out. just concentrate on your launch and sit there at the line. i've been told to (if you have this option anyways) 1/8 is good for practicing your launch. than once u get it down hit up 1/4 for those nice time slips.

Ill give you my two sence, raise the 2 step to 5500 or 6000, im not sure what the intervals are on the dsm link, preload the clutch by backing off it a little pull the hell out of your ebrake and when the green light hits back off the clutch fairly fast, dont side step it. and make sure that your at full throttle and try a no lift shift, that will help too.

my 2 step was set at 4000 and i was shifting at around 6500 not redlining it my friend has a fwd honda he was doing 12 all day and he toleld me to rase the 2 step to 5000 or over, shit at red line and dont dump that clutch but i havent been to the track sens i reased the 2 step
and throutel theres a probelm there my cabel kinda ss play on it on my safc neo if i gas it all the way down it shows 100% but i can still open teh throtel by hand a lil more the cabel has a belly so i might have to change the cabel

Sorry if i'm thread stealing, but I can't seem to launch with my new turbo for my life.... on the t25 it was simple as cake.... on the 50Trim, I set link to 5500, slam on gas 100% throttle, it doesn't really seem to "pull" more than it revs... like I see front of car go "up" and then once 6000+ hits, it just goes straight down, then I try NLTS and it revs even more... throwing misfire @ 7200...
I really never had to give the t25 more than 50% throttle and 4000 limiter to get a fast launch. Any tips?

I presume this is so you don't slip the clutch and roll over the line?

Something is definitely wrong with your car since you are trapping 92mph and you dynoed 348whp? I trap 90 in the 1/8th with just my lowly 16g. My best 60fter is 1.703 and I launch at 4750rpm. Hold the throttle completely down on the line and do not let go until you have to shift into 2nd. Quick slip the clutch to the point that you are almost dumping it, but DON'T dump it. You might think think that launching at such a low rpm doesn't work, but I was fighting traction all night in my awd.

i think that was my problem i was dumping it and every time it would bog i would let off the gas clutch it and then gas it again and go from there so like pretty much i was making my car rool off the line and then steping on it and every gear was at 6000.. 6500 my first time and i ahd no fans it was over heatting every run and my clutch might be going and im no pro at the track soo i think i just might need practice LOL

Pulling on the ebrake, yes so you dont trip the lights early. Plus you dont want to dump the clutch youll just break something. Ive made all my runs on 100% street tires and I think at a certin power range street tires will work fine for 1/4 mile times and 60ft times, once you get into the high power numbers DOT slicks are needed for sure.

you are short shifting the gears, so that could be one reason, but I would fix the problems you were having first off and then take it to redline and keep us updated, but practice never hurt anyone.

yeah ima get a new throttel cabel, wire up my fans and see if my clutch is good and if not ill order a new one when right now i have a stage 3 act clutch ### showld i go wiht if i do get a new one? any suggestions

I dont think launching and shifting are the only issues.

With 348awhp, shifting at 6500 you should definitely be trapping higher than a kid shifting at 6k on a 14b.

Do you by chance have a logger hooked up or anything on these runs?

Another option for a clutch, Spec stg 3....cheaper than the 2600, performs just as good or better with the 6 puck disc.

all i had was the dsmlink and at the time was just tunned by turbotrix and i didnt have a laptop or anything and to be honest even if a had a lap top i dodnt know how to pull or look for anything all i messed with was the 2 step nothing else
"im new at this"
