Not too long ago I replaced my engine with a used one and when I bought it I pretty much had to take dudes word that nothing was wrong with it. I got it installed and everything, it fired up and sounded great. I recently went ahead and did the compression test. Let me know what you guys think? I never had the chance to test my old engine before a bad valve job killed it so I have nothing to compare it to.

Thanks for checking it out. I just went from a 16g to a 20g in the process but just been a little afraid to beat on it yet. I guess Ill give it a little beating when I get off from work to see the difference between the two.

Yup. Looks good. Nice even placement on that needle and above service levels. ;)

Looks real good seeing how service limit is 133 and best possible is 178! How did you do the test? Did you do it running temp and did you do it with all plugs removed or did you take out 1 at a time? Just curious but looks really good!

I let the engine warm up a bit and then I removed the engine fuse under the hood. I took out one spark plug at a time. I held the throttle open while I cranked the engine over and I watched the needle spike 4 or 5 times until it maxed out.
