Hooting owl sound in reverse

I know this may sound retarded but when I back up, especially after sitting for awhile, I hear what sounds like an owl hooting coming from the back end. No brakes, mind you, and I'm pretty sure its not a hub.

Sounds like it could be a warped rotor, and/or the drum rubbing.

Does this noise occur at night, or during the day?

It occurs during the day, so I'm pretty sure there's not an owl living in my car, and I changed my pads about a month ago and the rotors were still good. It sounds louder than typical brake rub as well.

Maybe it has to do with the parking brake assembly?

Well, If you have checked the hatch and no owl was present, you could look at the drive-train. Does the hooting coincide with one wheel rotation?

Other then that, I would agree with the parking brake assembly.

Guide pins lubed up? New pads are thicker, guides may not be retracting enough.
